Telesteps Telescopic Ladders – Good?

Slightly off power tools for a wee while, I wanted to find out what the opinion was on Telesteps ladders.

These are quite ingenious ladders which can be easily carried or transported, they’re really lightweight and yet will quickly extend to 3.8 metres high becaise of the telescopic mechanism.  They’re made in Sweden so should have the usual Swedish quality traits.

There is also a loft ladder version which works with the same telescopic principle so takes up very little space in your attic area.

I wanted to get some feedback from people who are using these ladders.  Are they as robust and hardwearing as a conventional ladder, is the mechanism easily mastered?  Are there any other comments you would make?

Let us know in the comments box.

Getting into those “hard to reach places” – Black and Decker PAV1205 Pivot Vacuum Cleaner

Black & Decker PAV1205 12V Dustbuster Pivot Automotive Vacuum

I personally really like this (another Black and Decker product I’m impressed with) as with 3 young children my car is always filthy. But it’s such a hassle running a power cord extension outside to vacuum up the crisps and dried mud etc that are embedded into my car’s carpets…I’ve seen how generic ‘dustbuster’-type of vacuum cleaners don’t always do such a great job of getting into those awkward-to-reach places such as down between the front seats.
Features:

* 12V adapter, fits into a cigarette lighter
* Extra 5 metre cable allows you to reach all areas of your car including the boot
* The cable can be easily wrapped around the car vac before storing it away
* The pivoting nose enables easy cleaning of areas difficult to reach unlike conventional handheld vacs
* The pivoting nose has 10 settings for maximum flexibility to clean in hard to reach areas such as underneath and in between car seats
* Cyclonic action spins dirt away from the filter maintaining optimum suction power
* Triple action filtration means the product performs better and lasts longer
* Filter cleaning wheel for easy and hands free cleaning of the filter
* The side empty door is an easy to empty system which means all the dirt goes straight in the bin, hands don’t touch the dirt
* Built-in extendable crevice tool enables deep cleaning of confined spaces/small areas
* Upholstery brush is stored on board and there is a storage bag to keep your product and accessories all in one place
* Filter cleaning wheel
* Cyclonic action
